Wild
Horses has a strong directional composition (here's
to horsepower!). And yes, even rocking
horse toys can be wild. The gondola form
of the sculpture harkens to horses stampeding
across a southwest arroyo. |

SO WILD!
Toys, Wood, Apoxie Sculpt, CA Glue,
16”H x 32”L x 10”W,
2009, Wall Mount
For So Wild!
I wanted to compose a juxtaposition of a burgeoning
pack of animals surging through the wreckage
of an Arc-like hull planking. Ya just
can’t keep wild animals down.

WOODY
Found Wood, Apoxie Sculpt, Resin Hardener,
15”H x 28”W x 6”D,
2008, Wall Mount
Collection of the Savannah
College of
Art and Design
Woody comes from walking
along the Savannah tidal rivers. Bleached
wood and fallen reeds bunch up along the shoreline. This
sculpture manifests that rhythmic design accidentally
at work. |
